Your guide to Trackman Performance Studio
By Team Trackman
A practical overview of the Trackman-powered features built for game improvement, entertainment and day-to-day operations.

Trackman Performance Studio (TPS) is built to support different types of indoor golf experiences in one connected software platform.
For players and coaches, TPS offers focused tools for practice, skill development and performance tracking. For commercial facilities and casual users, it helps create golf experiences that are fun, social and easy to navigate. For operators and administrators, it provides the settings and configuration tools needed to manage bays, content, displays and day-to-day operation.
This overview covers three key areas of TPS — Practice, Entertainment and Settings — and how each one supports a different part of the indoor golf experience.
Practice
The Practice experience in TPS is designed for academies, coaches and players who want to focus on training, performance benchmarking and long-term development.
Range, our most popular self-guided practice activity, offers a streamlined training environment built on the same data foundation as Shot Analysis, but with a simpler view and a focused set of key parameters. You can work on ball flight, shot shape and consistency, while choosing which data tiles appear during the session. The top-view display also makes it easier to see ball trajectory and dispersion.
For deeper analysis, Shot Analysis gives players and coaches access to detailed ball flight, impact and club delivery data, supported by overlay tracers and graphics. It also connects to advanced tools such as 3D Motion Analysis, Trackman Optimizer, model and tour player comparisons, and Tracy, Trackman’s AI performance assistant.
Performance Center is designed for situational practice and scoring-focused improvement. Using strokes-gained scoring, you can practice approach shots and tee shots in realistic course scenarios, with your results benchmarked against different handicap groups or tour-level players.
Target Practice provides a more open, free-form practice environment. You can place the ball anywhere on the course and work on everything from short game and bunker shots to long approaches and putting. On-Course Practice adds another layer of specificity by allowing you to select any hole in the Trackman course library and rehearse the same shot repeatedly from any location you choose.
Map My Bag helps you build a personalized club profile over time. The bag is first set up in the Trackman Golf app, where you can add clubs, rename them and organize your setup. Once created, the profile uses shot data to help you understand club distances and dispersion patterns, then supports smarter club selection during virtual golf.
For structured testing, Test Center allows coaches and academies to design custom performance tests around specific training goals. Trackman Combine provides a standardized 60-shot test used to benchmark your skills and track progress over time.
Together, these tools make the Practice experience useful for warm-ups, self-practice, coaching sessions, player evaluation and long-term development.

Entertainment
The Entertainment activities in TPS make indoor golf fun, social and accessible for players of all skill levels.
The Courses tile is your gateway to the Trackman course library, including the latest Virtual Golf 3 courses. More than 550 courses — with more added every month — can be searched by name, country or category, then filtered by difficulty or the availability of ghost rounds.
Ghost rounds add another layer of competition. You can compete against previously recorded rounds from friends or anonymous tour-level players, following their shots hole-by-hole during your own round. It creates a live-feeling experience, even when you’re not competing at the same time.
Competitions bring more structure to the indoor game, with local and global tournaments available depending on the facility, location and who’s logged in. Each competition includes details on format, requirements and setup, making it easier to understand before joining.
For more casual sessions, the Games section is divided into two categories. Games such as Bullseye and Hit It! are designed for golfers with some experience, while options such as Scrapyard and Magic Pond are ideal for beginners, groups and even non-golfers looking for a stress-free way to play.
Online Play helps friends connect from different locations. You can invite friends, join live sessions and see each other’s shots in real time.

Settings
The Settings area in TPS is designed for facility operators, administrators and staff responsible for configuring bays and maintaining the Trackman setup.
From the home screen, facilities can choose whether the default landing page opens in an Entertainment-focused or Practice-focused mode. This allows operators to tailor the experience to the type of bay, session or audience. For example, a public-facing simulator bay may benefit from Entertainment mode, while an academy or coaching bay may work better in Practice mode. Facility managers can also define what the system returns to after a session ends. This helps create a consistent and predictable experience for the next user.
Players can log in from the top-right corner using a QR code through the Trackman Golf app. Up to eight players can be logged in at the same time, with the active group shown in the interface. My Activities also gives users access to upcoming or unfinished sessions.
Admin access is controlled through login and only becomes active when an administrator is present in the bay. When a user with an admin role logs in, admin-specific tools and settings become available. When the admin logs out or leaves the session, those tools are hidden again, so regular users only see what is relevant for play.
Administrators can configure facility-level information, adjust language settings and manage installed content through Download Manager. Smart Install is the recommended option for many facilities, as it automatically installs and updates a selection of popular courses and activities. Complete Install downloads all available courses and activities but requires more storage space. Manual Install gives administrators full control over which courses and features are installed, while still keeping installed content up to date.
System Settings allow administrators to adjust the default options that affect day-to-day operation. These settings act as the default state of the bay, meaning the system returns to them even if users temporarily change settings during a session.
Advanced system settings provide broader control over installation details such as units, measurement preferences and video settings. The About section shows current software versions and subscription status, while diagnostics can be collected and shared with Trackman Support to help with troubleshooting.
For facilities using multiple displays, TPS also supports extended screen configurations. Administrators can define what appears on each screen, such as separating player views from coaching or audience displays.
Calibration can be accessed from the home screen or through the settings menu, making it easier for staff to recalibrate when needed. The exact process depends on the unit and bay setup.
With Practice, Entertainment and Settings working together, Trackman Performance Studio gives players, coaches and facility operators one connected platform for indoor golf. It can support serious training, social play and daily facility management — all from an interface that can be tailored to the people using it.
